барьерная синхронизация
класс алгоритмов синхронизации параллельных процессов в многозадачных и многопотоковых архитектурах; предусматривает остановку (блокировку) всех процессов, принадлежащих явной или неявной группе, в определённом месте программы (хотя и на различных промежуточных этапах выполнения) - у барьера, после чего выполнение продолжается. Это позволяет не допускать чрезмерного отставания медленных процессов. В некоторых микропроцессорах (например, в PowerPC) предусмотрены специальные машинные команды, помогающие осуществлять барьерную синхронизацию
